1.NYIRAGONGO VOLCANO, VIRUNGA NATIONAL PARK, EASTERN CONGO

An astounding two kilometers wide and more often than not containing a magma lake, Nyiragongo Volcano is one of Africa's most dynamic volcanoes, with an ejection in 2002 dislodging a large portion of a million individuals.
2.Fish River Canyon, Namibia
Nearly 500 meters profound and more than 160 kilometers in length, this extraordinary break is second just to the United States' Grand Canyon in size, and amid the dry season is described by excellent turquoise pools of regularly streaming water extending into the separation.
